Epic PR Group is proud to launch the PR Heat Index, an assessment tool to help organizations evaluate their ability to predict and handle a crisis situation. 

We have long provided clients with guidance on planning and strategy for crisis, and with the introduction of this new assessment, anyone can receive a summary of where their current plans are successful or where they fall short.

So what is it?

The PR Heat Index is a quiz that delves into three areas of crisis preparation: risk, influence and readiness. Each of the three areas helps you to gain a better understanding of your overall strategy as it relates to crisis.

Why take it?

Proactive crisis preparation has never been more important. According to one study, 79% of business decision-makers across the globe expect to experience a crisis within the next year but only half of them said their companies have a crisis communications plan. That number depicts an all too real reality for business leaders – and we want to help better prepare communicators across industries to deal with crises.

What do you walk away with?

Individuals who take the test will come away with an overall assessment of their “Heat Index” and a breakdown of scores within each of the three categories (risk, influence and readiness). The report will come in .pdf form allowing easy printing for sharing with colleagues or management.

Now what?

Once you’ve taken the assessment, print it out – share it! The information will provide you with some working suggestions for improving your crisis strategy.
